The Invaluableness of Giving


Luke 6:8 states: "Give and it will be given to you; back in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, being put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

Dearly beloved, know that when we here the word "give" ... one might think about the practice of one giving their "tithes and offerings." However, I want you to know, when it comes to giving, I hold true to the notion that it means so much more. For we must remember, that the Lord gave to us first. And He did this, in order to show us how to give. And make no mistake, when it comes to this example of giving, which is an example, that God gave to us... is perfect.

Understand that the giving of God's only begotten son, for He was the One who was sent here, to die for the sins of the world, is indeed that perfect example that I'm referring to.

And to be clear, the benefit of God's gift, is everlasting:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." -- John 3:16

So you may be thinking, what can we expect to gain from learning how to give? And my answer to that question would be... everything! Give a good measure that has been measured by your own eye, and that's what will be measured back to you. Give from a heart that overflows with the love of Jesus Christ, and that love, will be given back to you.

Know that when you give joy, you get joy. When you give love, you get love. When you give hate, you get hate. When you give peace, you get peace. When you give forgiveness, you'll be forgiven. My challenge to you today, deals with trying to love others; loving them the way God loves you, not just to the measure, but until it overflows -- Amen

Can I say a prayer for you?

Heavenly Father, I wish that I could do more for this visitor, and for the ongoing support that they have given to this site.
However, I'm trusting that You will be able and willing, to equip them with the things that they'll need, when it comes to them successfully climbing the mountains in their life.
Lord, give them the much needed understanding, knowledge, wisdom, strength and courage, to accomplish the things that they're setting out to do in their day to day.
