Danna's
Short Inspired Devotions from the Bible
"I want you to know, that if you place your hope and efforts on something, other than Christ and His teachings, you will be sure to err in your ways. For you can always trust, that God will always be faithful to those, who have made the decision to place there complete faith in Him, and His only Begotten Son"

A Shepherd You Can Trust
John 10:11-14 states: "I am the Good Shepherd, and the Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep; but a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep while fleeing; and because of this, the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees, because he is a hireling that does not care about the sheep. Know that I am the Good Shepherd, and I know My sheep, and I'm known, by My own."
In ancient times, animals, especially sheep; were used for many things.
For these animals were used for temple sacrifices, for food, for cover and clothing, and most of all, for profit.
Many times, sheep were left unattended by the hirelings, and because of this, the wolves would come and eat the sheep.
I also like to point out, that sometimes, people are treated the same way.
At times, they are found being sacrificed for someone else' good time. And in some cases, they are being used, for the desires of others. And needless-to-say, several have been used, in order to turn a profit.
So be careful my beloved, for this goes to show you, that we shouldn't be so willing to put our trust in the world, or the corrupt wisdom that stems from it; or put our trust into those, that are held in such high regard, from within that very same world. Know that trust is a very precious gift to give to somebody; and so therefore, we ought naught, toss it around so freely.
But when it comes to placing our trust (or faith) in Christ; now there's a Person, you can know for certain, that will never fail you. For our Lord is forever so loving, faithful, uncorrupted, and more than willing and able, to meet all of our needs -- Amen
