Making God Number One
Hebrews 8:9,10 states: "This is not done according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, back in the day when I took them by the hand, as I lead them out of the land of Egypt; this is done, because they did not continue in My covenant, and so therefore, I disregarded them, says the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days: I will put My laws in their mind, and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
Now when it comes to bringing God back to being number one, from within our daily lives.
Know that this simply implies, that when it comes to the top position that God had once held in one's life, has now been lost, therefore allowing something of far lesser value, to take His place.
Now one could wonder: "How does one bring God back to the number one position in their life?
I mean seriously, how does one, bring God back to the throne of their heart? Make no mistake, God will never force you to make Him number one in your life. For He will never insist, that you keep Him as number one in your heart. And although the Word of God, declares that if one were to stay focus on the Heavenly Father, and not their problems; if one were to learn how to rest in God's shadow, and not be deterred by the shadows of the dark valleys, that they may find themselves venturing through at the time; then that person, will always remember, that no matter what, God will forever be their Fortress, their provider; for He's the One, in whom, you can absolutely trust, when it comes to making everything okay.
Short Devotions
This Thing Goes Both Ways
But make no mistake, this thing goes both ways. For there are many times, where we allow ourselves to be overly concern with things, even though we know, that deep down, we should be trusting God more. For you see, this could become a problem, for we must also remember, that the Lord must be able to trust us in return. Each time you knowingly disobey God's Word, know that you run the risk of removing Him from being number one in your life.
Each time you're disobedient; each time you find yourself lacking commitment, especially when it comes to being in accordance to God's plans for your life; again, you run the risk of removing Him from being number one in your heart. Today my friend, let disobedience, and doubt, be put to the side. Trust in what God created you to be. For you've been placed on notice. I challenge you to inform disobedience and doubt, that they have been removed from the throne of your heart, and that you're now bringing God back to His number One position, when it comes to your daily life -- Amen.
