To Be Like Jesus
2 Corinthians 3:2,3 states: "You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart."
First let me start by pointing out, many dedicated Christians are wasting their strength and energy, when it comes to those futile projects that they find themselves having on their plates. For they become involved in some dynamic "social organization" which has convinced them, that what they're doing, is indeed, the "will of God." But unfortunately, this is not the case. And because of this, they're finding that their enthusiasm has become increasingly less aware, when it comes to experiencing the presence of the living Christ from within their everyday lives.
It's a sobering thought to consider, it is possible, to become a Christian without having Christ at the center of your life.
For example: One would consider that being active in worthwhile causes should suffice.
And yet, when the time comes that person is found without having experienced the redeeming love of Jesus Christ in their lives.
Know that as a Christian, your loyalty shouldn't be focused on a "human-cause" but your faith and attention, should be towards Christ.
For you see, if Jesus is at the center of your life and you've allowed Him to send you into the world as His "love letter to the lost" then this reveals that your faith is now engaged and alive.
And it would be at this point, everybody will finally recognize the power and the love of Jesus from within your life. For you're now seen as His ambassador from within this world.
And it's in this manner, you'll not only glorify God, but you'll also experience the joy, happiness and the peace, that goes along with it. Take solace in knowing, that you'll no longer lack these things from within this life. Keep in mind that the world is sick and tired of religious slogans that are found from within the teachings of Christ. What the world desperately needs, is to see Christ working through His modern day disciples.
And its only then, you'll become a blessing to those with whom you live and work with, as you find yourself making a positive contribution to the age in which you now live. I trust God, that you've been blessed by this Bible devotion, and let's continue to seek His presence from within every area of our lives.
